When the market tries to impose a closing bell on a token that never sleeps, something has to give. It will not be the token. It will be the wrapper. And the holders who never asked to see the smart contract will be the ones left holding the paper, waiting for a redemption that arrives after the liquidity has already fled.
So the question I keep asking myself is not whether speculative ETFs are over-valued, under-regulated, or poorly understood. They are all three. The question is which failure mode reveals itself first: the commercial failure of a product that cannot gather assets, the regulatory failure of a product that cannot justify its existence, or the liquidity failure of a product that cannot survive its first real redemption wave. In the N/A report, all three failure modes sat under a single word: high. That high was correct. It just did not say where the blow would land.
The smart contract never lies, but it is not the only entity that can tell the truth. Sometimes an empty table is the most honest disclosure of all.
